exhaust valve
has anyone taken the exhaust valve out and had problems with it?

RE: exhaust valve
Yes you can but, you have to install a Hass Eliminator.Gives it freer exhaust flow kind of like a full system exhaust with out the extra expense.

RE: exhaust valve
Well the only problem I had with it was when you use the map they give you I had a small hesitation at around 2500 rpm which I fixed with changing the map settings.

RE: exhaust valve
did you use a map from the powercommander web site?
|
RE: exhaust valve
No,I used the one that Hass sent me.It was custom for my bike let them know what you have and where you live and they'll send you a map foryou to download. After I took mine to get a dyno run and was told that it was pretty close I was off in the low RPM.Then fixed it with some adjust to the map.

RE: exhaust valve
is it worth the money?
|
RE: exhaust valve
Well,it's better than a bolt on,I did get a much better throttle response. It's a less expensive way of getting a full exhaust. When it was dynoed I got 129hp and it showed a very steady climb thru out the rpm's.May get it better with some more fine tuning but, my dyno guy said it's probably not going to worth it. $250.00 to get maybe 2-3 more hp.
