Diamond in the ruff
I found a new 2001 cbr929 sitting at a dealer that primarely sold Indian & Royal Enfield but also sold Honda, mostly dirt bikes and a few crusers. I had a brand new one in 01 and regretfully sold it in 05. I bought it yesterday after a 600mile round trip to get it could not resist. Can't wait for the weather to break to take her for a spin. The owners ( husband and wife in there 80s') were soo happy that I bought it they did not think it would ever sell. They had ordered it for a gentleman and he changed his mind when they got it. To give you a idea of the showroom there were probably like 10 or so 1940-1950s Indian motorcycles and a lot of old bike memorabilia hand full of dirtbikes a few cruser Hondas and one 2003 cbr600f4i. In the back room probably 30 or so bikes from 1930s -1960s Old Indians,Royal Endfields, and Hondas. Sorry if I am rambling on to long I will try to get pics up soon.

The pic in my post was on the dealers website I keep getting the message (upload of file failed) every time I atemp to load one of mine I will keep trying. Anyways 0 miles got it for $8400 out the door yea a little high but its new had to have it as soon as I saw it. I wonder if there is anymore sitting at some off the beaten trail dealerships.

Nice bike! Congrats.
This kind of thing really does happen. I found a new RC51 SP1 sitting in a dealer's showroom recently. He wants about 7k more than its worth. It only takes one buyer that's willing to pay that for it though. But really, once miles are put on it, its going to depreciate fast...really fast.

Yea on one hand I just want to park it in my livingroom and stare at it but on the other it would drive me crazy not riding it. I found it by asking my local Honda dealer if he could run a serch on the Honda dealer website for that model. He only looked at the surounding states so there might be more out there. Frankly I was quite suprized considering only being made for 2 years.
