Default Just bought 01 929rr heavy steering?

Alright so I took my 929 out for the first real ride today, and compared to my first bike (92 cbr 600) this bike seems really heavy in the turns. I knew to expect to feel the weight difference but it feels like I'm fighting with the bars to keep them in the right spot. After a 20 minute ride my wrists were feelin it. Id like to know if this is normal for a 929? Thank you.

Make sure your tire pressure is at proper level. You are used to thinner tires. The 190 in the rear is wider than what you are used to.

I don't know what you riding style is, but on a larger bike you will need to turn more with your throttle and have good body position than ever before. If you do do it correctly, the bike will handle like it's on rails.

Thank u, I might have a problem then I'm having to push the inside bar pretty hard. My other bike my hands just lightly held the grips while my body weight caused the turn.

Put some throttle in your entrance, maintain it through the turn, roll on on exit. The bike loves it!!!!

that's what i was going to suggest - looks like i was too late to the thread. the guy who owned my bike before me had 10psi in the tires when i test rode it. i remember thinking "i knew the 600's where supposedly lighter in handling - but this is really heavy!" once i figured it out and filled it up, it handled like a dream

Yeah in addition to low air, if the bike was ridden on low air pressure in the front tire it could have cupped the tire. Run your had over it after proper air pressure and if it feels wavy a new front tire will fix the problem. It should lay over nicely I switch between my 929 and F4 a lot and the F4 is light but the 929 still lays in effortlessly.

Might as well set the suspension to you or stock as well, When I got mine it was for a girl who was 120 lbs. my friends gxsr had everything full stiff and I mean everything. Preload, comp and rebound; both front and back.
