i have seen a ton of 929's but can only count about 2 that have aftermarket or custom wheels. why is this, i bought my erion with the original wheels chromed rims and i hate them(not a chrome kinda guy plus they need re-dipped). i have checked out alot of aftermarket rims and like them besides the price are they not worth it? do they increase performance since they are so much lighter? suggestions?

 

929 is a rather old bike. That's why there is little or no interesting offers. Sometimes it should be seen in the RC51 category to find something interesting. But... The only reason not to buy light wheels is that such wheels cost too much for an old and falling in price bike like 929.
I like Galespeed wheels. Hope that will get them for my 929 soon...

 

ya those 10 spokes from galespeed are sick but thats about the only performance type wheel i have found. i did find a pretty neat one from denniskirk.com but they only sell the front rim for the 929 so thats a little retarded lol. what do you mean in the rc51 category?

 

RC51 wheels and some other parts will fit 929 with no modifications.
