Default Crashed my baby


This is what my bike looks like. do I need a new engine?

You might very well, I would try and find a stator cover really cheap and put it back on, change the oil and see how it goes. If all is bad then you are out the cost of a stator cover and you need to buy an engine. I would listen and feel for any extra vibrations because it may have damaged the crank which will eventuall warp the cases and then destroy the stator and cover but thats a worst case from me though, happened to a zx12 I owned, I didnt wreck it the guy I brought it from did and slapped a new cover on it and said nothing.

block is clearly broken, if your a master with jb weld its possible to hold you over, new engine or new block at the least is a must. sorry about your luck. i got the same thing sitting in my garage. just be glad your not like my buddy and did it to an 09 600rr with less than 1500 miles on it.

maybe you can tig weld the case up do ya know anybody with a miller tig set up?
