You might very well, I would try and find a stator cover really cheap and put it back on, change the oil and see how it goes. If all is bad then you are out the cost of a stator cover and you need to buy an engine. I would listen and feel for any extra vibrations because it may have damaged the crank which will eventuall warp the cases and then destroy the stator and cover but thats a worst case from me though, happened to a zx12 I owned, I didnt wreck it the guy I brought it from did and slapped a new cover on it and said nothing.

Not good ... If I were you I woulld closely inspect the stator for bad damage .. If the stator has not been hit hard its self , chances are the crank will be ok .. It is hard to tell from your pic ... take the reains off and take a few close pics for us ...

block is clearly broken, if your a master with jb weld its possible to hold you over, new engine or new block at the least is a must. sorry about your luck. i got the same thing sitting in my garage. just be glad your not like my buddy and did it to an 09 600rr with less than 1500 miles on it.
