compression test results

Finally got off my lazy ass a did a compression test on my project. 1-170 2-170 3-164 4-172 . Keep in mind it was done while bike was cold and I have no idea when it was last run. @ least 4 to 7 moths ago. All cylinders within 8psi of each other. What do you guys think? What kind of compression are your bikes putting out and how are they performing? I dropped the oil and there was no filings or crap. So hopefully it will be a good runner. Are these bikes known for any tranny problems? The insurance company that I bought it from had the milage @ about 6000. They must of got that from the last owner if he lived from the crash. The gauges were long gone so who knows.

RE: compression test results

that is great compression, also trannys are good, shift forks and 2nd gear is what goes out IF you beat and dont shift proply, but even then u got a long time before it goes out, i wouldnt worry about the bike to much, just take good care of it and proper maintence and it should run a long time, honda bikes can run 20k - 50k!
