Default Clutch Fluid?

Ive got somthing else that i just thought of. When I squeeze the clutch lever there is always dried fluid i guess on the part of the clutch that was under the casing. Gold in color, almost looks like rust or dried blood. I usually wipe it off but it always comes back.

You guys get this?

How can I stop it from leaking?

Rust. There isn't any clutch fluid around there - it's a mechanical (cable) operated clutch, not a hydrolic operated clutch.

Wipe it off... and lube your clutch cable while you're at it.

If you want you can paper towel around the area, spray in some oil based product (ex. 3-in-1), wipe it up with a cloth. That'll flush out some of the crap... it's a common thing to have happen - even if the only water your bike sees is a bath or an occasional rain storm.
