CBR929RR Fuel Pump Prime Issues - PLEASE HELP!

You could use a paper clip , and push it into the back of the connector, do the same thing each end ,then join the wire to the paper clips

Ok so i think i may be onto something, the brown wire from the fuel pump goes into the relay, then the relay has a brown/black wire that goes to the ECU. the brown/black wire at ECU has 12v with ignition on, and has voltage right to the relay, but at the relay theres no voltage to the brown wire that goes from relay to the pump. at the relay there is 12v at the other 2 wires also (black/white i think they were?) theres 2 other wires on pump a green for ground and a brown thats for low fuel which goes to the front of bike. The only thing im seeing that would control the pump is that brown wire that has no voltage out of the relay, i did swap the relay and that didnt change anything so it cant be the relay thats bad. If there is 12v coming from ecu to the relay but nothing out of relay to pump what the hell is happening? this is confusing to me. Im not a expert but i understand low voltage and have some experience in electronic repairs, auto wiring, etc so im not a complete noob

Help needed
I'm kind of running into the same problem, bike ran fine today then just died, fuel pump won't prime, checked all fuses, bas, all relays, kill switch, heres the odd part, I have power going to the pump when its not plugged in but when it is plugged in I have no power at the pump itself, swapped out relays still no change, ran pump straight to battery and it kicks on, does anyone have any ideas

Lookup “pink wire no fuel no spark” it’s an anti theft device in the ignition that uses a diode to drop voltage to 9v over a signal wire that is sent to the ecu. You can solder in a 2.2k resistor in line on the pink wire that will drop the voltage to the appropriate range. There are many many posts on it and many ways to go about it with diodes and resistors and a combo of the 2. I fixed mine with the 2.2k resistor tho. I’m not an electronics person so I can’t tell you why a 2.2 works but it does. I will try to find a link with pictures if I can find one. I’m gonna have to do it again because I just bought an aftermarket ignition that doesn’t come with the diode. You won’t find any info about it in any official manuals since it is an anti theft device.
