HelloI am new to this forum> ButI am afraid I have run out of options for trying to fix my 01 cbr929! I really need some help and proffesional advice! For the past 9 monthsI have have my ride in the shop 6 times for the same reason THE STATOR! It has been replaced 3 times as well as the rectifyer 2 times and once again the stator has gone out> I have paid to much alreay for this problem and the shop has not been able to give anything but a temporary fix. what can cause this crap to keep happening. THat they cant seem to figure out. Maybe a grounded wire shortin out or something just not done right? I need help please! I am making payments on something that i cant even enjoy you gotta know that this pisses me off ! someone please help!

welcome to the forum - we have a similar problem with the CBR1000F (well, some of us do, esp me) There are some good diagnostic charts available from NAGA THAI on the Hurricane Forum.Send him a PM, sure to help.
From what you've said, either the mechanics are muppets, or you have a MAJOR short/problem somewhere. Mine was in the stator, and the only way you could tell was by measuring the resistance in the field coils, or the voltage output when the bike is running. I had 4 reg/recs, a few batteries and a replacement stator before I located the problem. I suspect burnt wiring or a power drain somewhere.
