RE: cbr929
welcome to the forum - we have a similar problem with the CBR1000F (well, some of us do, esp me) There are some good diagnostic charts available from NAGA THAI on the Hurricane Forum.Send him a PM, sure to help.
From what you've said, either the mechanics are muppets, or you have a MAJOR short/problem somewhere. Mine was in the stator, and the only way you could tell was by measuring the resistance in the field coils, or the voltage output when the bike is running. I had 4 reg/recs, a few batteries and a replacement stator before I located the problem. I suspect burnt wiring or a power drain somewhere.
PM me if you need more. Good luck !

Giday Matt and welcome ..
Gezzus ,. you would be a touch homicidal over all that ..
Like Shadow1 mentioned NAGA THAI is the man to see to start with ...
PM him from here https://cbrforum.com/showProfile.asp?memid=25866
Those things can be a barsted to locate ....
If all else fails ..perhaps a real good auto electrical workshop may be better for you to try, rather than you taking her back again to your Honda shop.
If they are a bunch of twitts mate give them a miss!!
Make sure you do not just drop your ride with them without giving them exact instructions ..
Get them to do a check first..
Do not let them just hack in ..
Only agree to further work if they can guarantee it ..
good luck mate ...
