CBR 929 Turbo & NOs
#3
I think the 929 is underpowered (old technology), especially compared to todays liter bikes (new technology). If i was gonna do a power adder i would do spray (NAWWZ). ive seen complete kits around $400. just fatten up your fuel so you dont go too lean.
turbo starts at around $5k, plus it would have to be tuned. i would recomend getting a newer bike if you have $5k+ to spend on a turbo.

a Turbo would be an expensive endeavor, the bottom end could probably handle it, but, the pistons stock compression of 11 to 1 might be a bit much for the head to handle, I'd add nos..but not sure why you would. The bike is already a wheelie machine, and if you intend to drag it, you'll NEED to stretch it, which will kill it for the twisties. The nos is a relatively cheap upgrade, but is only used while dragging, use it on the street at your own peril (tickets, accidents, loops) if your looking for more power, an even cheaper upgrade would be to change the front sprocket down one tooth. I've done just about everything to my 929 that one can do without going the NOS/Turbo route, my bike makes 140 bhp on the dyno, and is plenty powerful enough.
