CBR 929 slipper clutch

Do you track your bike alot? Is it just a race bike or a street bike too.A slipper clutch set up will cost over a grand. And it isn't going to be a whole lot smoother than your current clutch. I dont see spending that much for the little bit that it will help out. Why do you want to upgrade to a slipper clutch? You plan on doing alot of high speed down shifts? just curious.

Well, I wasn't trying to be a smart A$$. I was simply wondering. Even if you do track your bike here and there, unless it is a full fledged track bike personally I don't see putting over $1000.00 in a clutch when the stock style clutches, with some good racing springs work just fine. But the only way the slipper is going to be better than your stock clutch is when it's down shifting reducing wheel hop.
But its on you, spend a grand on a slipper clutch that to me would seem like a waste. Or upgrade your stock clutches and springs and roll with it, for all of $300 on the high end.
Personally I'd upgrade what I had.
EDIT: This is the cheapest slipper clutch I could find, still $850 plus shipping
