I just picked up a 2000 929 and am going through the bike and noticed some strange wear on the front sprocket, below are some pictures of the wear. It is from the outer edge of the chain and is on the built up section of the sprocket. (the pictures aren't great I hope you can see what I'm taking about)

I will be removing the sprocket tomorrow if you need better pictures.

Wondering what might cause this. The sprocket teeth don't look to bad and the chain tension is around 1.25 in.
