i 2nd the fule line neing bent while tank mounted! I had the same problem, didnt think it was the line and ended up making myself look stupid

i did too on my 87 vfr, i rejetted the carbs with the richest jets thinkingthey would make the most power. went for a test ride and got stranded, i thought i was running too rich and fouled the plugs. i spent days messing with the carbs only to find the fuel line was bent!

ok lines looked good so i took the tank off and took fuel pump out gas was good nothing in the take so i looked at the pump and it had metal stings wraped around it "it looked like shaving after you drill threw metal heres a pics this by the filter i pulled it off and put it back together still didnt work same as above start then stop

i still need to find that fitting to check preassure and to check regulater haw to check that and cam pulse sensor

ok i got it running i checked codes and their was a lot so i erased them and i got it started their was a lot of smoke grey and black it had rough idle it got up to temp and idle some more temp got to 145 so went gave it some gas and it poped out of the exhaust still smoke coming out also idle for a few more sec then died started back up smoke seemed to clear up a little still popping out of the exhaust im going to check plugs does all of the air box need to be bolt back in stacks and all thanks

7,8,9,11,12,34 I checked all the codes and then checked the bike every thing looked ok then i erased them and when i got the bike started for a few mins and then after it died i checked codes nothing, light didnt blink ?????????????????

i know its alot but do you remember what any of the code flashes were? i mean just because your erased them doesnt mean they were fixed. when my pulse sensor when out starting fluid wouldnt even make it start. its sounds like your fuel pump. guess checking the fuel pressure would be a good next move. areyour airbox sensors plugged in?
