Default A bit to share...

Well I hadn't really had a chance to go through that bike I just bought. It's an 01 with about 22K miles, which is estimated as it has a +4 tooth sprocket as of now and has forprobably the lastyear or so.

So today I get a chance to get out into the garage and start disassembling everything for paint/powder coating. As I'm removing the fairings and racing cage, I let the bike run with some seafoam in it for about 30 minutes, idling mostly. Anyway I notice an exhaust leak that I hadn't noticed before. Right where the can meets the midpipe. Not a big deal really.

I was going to flush the coolant system and it seems I may either have a bad water pump or thermostat because I don't believe the coolant is cycling.

I specifically asked when looking at the bike if theupper stay was OEM or if I would have to replace it (never had one before). He told me, "nope, it's all original." Yeah, it's original but it's had a home made bracket welded on for the fog lights and car alarm (that is being used as a horn... pretty funny actually and I'm thinking I'm going to leave it) siren. Not a real big deal but...

Cluster tabs are broken in the typical places, didn't know about that. But all in all I think it's going to be a great bike that I'm probably going to simply sell and get my 954...

My camera is charging and I'm going to update this thread when I get some pics taken in an hour or so.

Sorry, NY, it's actually a +2, I believe. Stock is 43? In any case, it's a 45 tooth Vortex that's in great shape... think I'll wear her down!

That was a good clean up you did on that poor thing! What color are you planning to paint it?
