And another thing.......
To quote a previous post -
" Get the Haynes manual. Ebay, search "cbr929 manual". This is probably the best single thing you can do. It has most of the Shop Manual info, and Haynes takes the time to explain how most of the systems work ( which the Shop Manual DOESN'T) And Haynes explains how to check each system and component and explains why you're doing it. "
I forgot to mention the best reason to get one - THE WIRING DIAGRAMS - IN COLOR.
'Cause gentlemen ( using that term loosely) most of the problems you'll ever have with a machine this complex are electrical ones, either with wiring issues, or with electrical components. Without a wiring diagram, you're shooting in the dark.

RE: And another thing.......
The actual shop manual is more comprehensive, but the Haynes is more simplified for the average layman. Depending on your experience, you may opt for one or the other. Ideally, BOTH would be good, since one gives good narative, and the other more detailed information.

Agreed. Also, I should mention that I'm basing my opinion of the shop manual on the one I downloaded off the net.
It may well be that the original manual is more complete. Even though the one on the net is OK, the one you order from Honda, I believe, is only 70 or 80 bucks. It's probably worth it to just order one from them.
