Air Flapper mod - HELP

Wondering if anyone can help me out .. I bought a 2000 929 and the original owner had allready completely removed the air flapper. After reading a previous post on how to complete the task, I noticed there is suppose to be a vacum tube that needs to be blocked off... my problem is I can not find the tube, nor can i find the canister / solenid (im thinking he removed all these pieces as well) anyone know where the tube runs from or could be tucked at ( poss. under the air cleaner housing?) The bike starts right up and idles / runs fine... should i assume that he blocked this off if the bike runs proper... thanks...

You could assume that he had capped off and removed the solenid. if the bike starts and runs good big deal, but does the choke work when the bike is cold??

Choke works when bike is cold, warms right up and idle is constant at about 1300 -1400 rpms..

RE: Air Flapper mod - HELP

Air flapper mod is removing / or unhooking the air flapper (located above radiator) to allow more air to the motor as opposed to the small two vents that it breathes through at lower rpm's from factory.

you know the tube and the solenid could have been part of a Cal. mod. the Direction that you may have used could have been for a Caliy bike. no big Deal.
