Does anyone know if fuel injectors from a 02 954rr will fit on a 01 929rr?? I would think they should but they might be a bit bigger. I am thinking of replacing mine and have found some used 954rr injectors.

 

im pretty sure that they will fit, however i dont believe the wiring will matchup...i dont know this for a fact though...why do you want to replace your injectors?

 

Thanks for the reply. The reason I want to replace them is because I am having some trouble with my bike where cyclinders 1 and 4 are not firing. I have another post on here about my problems, but in summary, I have checked the ignition, changed plugs so I am hoping that injectors are the problem. I left my bike sitting for a while so maybe they got gunked up or something. I found some used 954 injectors on ebay so I was wondering if they would fit rather than spending $400 on new injectors.

 

Have you tried running any injector cleaner or anything through it? How do you know its just cyl 1 and 4?

 

The way I found out 1 and 4 were not firing was because I measured the header temps and 1 and 4 were cold. I ran some FI cleaner in the gas but it didnt help. I just sent the injectors out for cleaning and flow balance and I hope that solves the problem...

 

that sounds strange, i dont know what to tell you really...maybe a throttlebody sync? 929's are VERY quarky it seems..ive had a ton of little electrical probs and ****...good luck and let me know if you have any luck man.

hey did you ever figure out the problem??? im having the exact same problem...changed the plugs and one and four were fouled. i got new plugs and the bike started fine but after a few blocks 1 and 4 stopped firing...im thinkin injectors now but dont know what to do. i ran a tank of gas thru with injector cleaner and its still runnin ****ty. let me know if youve figured anything out. thanks
