929 vs 900
Hey, it's me again.
In the course of having my bike titled in NY ( which requires an examination by the DMV to check if it's been stolen) , I had Honda run my frame number ( which should also be the VIN) and see if it showed the serial number in my engine as the original. The numbers matched, but the bike came up as a 2001 CBR 900 RR, even though the engine has 929cc stamped on it. It was my understanding that the 900's were 919cc, and the 929's were just that- 929cc. I also thought that no 900's were made after 1999, the 929's were made in 2000-2001, and then came the 954's.
Am I way off base on this? Any thoughts?
Thanks

RE: 929 vs 900
My title showed that the model was 900rr when in fact it's a 929 or something along those lines. The displacement is still 929cc, but the model of the the bike is 900rr. This confused me at first too, but all seemed to work out with my title and insurrance company. If I'm incorrect here, someone please correct me [sm=smiley20.gif]
