Bike looks great, congrats on the finished project. Couldn't help but notice the giant VW emblem on the wall. Have any of those built up?

Very nice, I'd kill to get a ghia and make it as low as that bug is. Where did you source the grill for that?

I made it out of car side moulding by layering it on a fiberglass plug. Its fake of coarse but it made the bug look like an old ****** or 34 ford. I traded this car off a long time ago so its gone but since then I had a chop top ghia that was widened down the middle to accomodate an s10 frame slammed with 20's.....Wish I had pics but never finished the project and traded it off.

does the swing arm from the VFR bolt right into the 929R frame or did it take some modification?

1. Must take approx 3/16" off the inside of the swingarm on both sides to fit around the engine case.I used a hand grinder. It may take some gringing a little at atime ...trial and earror.....till its fitting snug and perfect. With this done the bushings will need cut down and put back in. Shock lines right up, chain lines right up.
2. Must drill out the 929 axle bolt to fit the vfr axle bolt thru it then cut it up into spacers.
3. Must take a 954 triangle and a vfr dogbone to use as linkage by turning the triangle forward over one turn and adjust shock up a click or jack the seat height up or.... make a triangle how you want it out of 3/16" plate steel or aluminum.

There is some work involved but I would totally do it again....
Here is a little more detail on another forum with pics on what I did.

I like the GPS for a speedo, it really fits in the with new version of the bike. Is the engine powdercoated or just regular automotive paint?
