Hard stutter between 5000 and 6500 rpm.
Hello everyone. This is my first time ever using a forum so forgive me if I make a noob mistake
The issue I’m having with my bike is that when in gear and accelerating I hit what feels almost like a rev limiter at around 5k rpm and it bucks and stutters from then till about 6500 rpm if I hold the throttle through the stutter it will clear up after 6500 rpm and pull as it should from about 7000 to redline. This only happens in gear, when in neutral the bike will rev up to rev limiter smooth with no issue. The bike is a 2001 cbr 929rr 9300 Miles with the exhaust valve completely removed and airbox flapper removes with no power commander. (Previous owner did these mods) I have a couple videos I can post, I just can’t figure out how.

Hey Smelly, welcome to the forum.
What I'm thinking is your not getting proper back pressure for fuel mixture with factory settings without the valve. I'd start with putting the bike back to stock and go from there. With the valve installed you will get smoother riding throughout the RPM range with proper back pressure. At full throttle the servo opens the valve and its like its not there, so why take it out?
There are some on e-bay that are not very costly. If the previous owner didn't give you one. Below is a link to one.

Thank you for the reply! It appears you are correct, I replaced the exhaust valve and welded it in the fully open position... The bike is back to normal running great again.
