Default 929 dies when idling

Hello everyone, i have a 2000 929 with mil codes 1,2,11. I have used the shop manual to troubleshoot them all. Code 1 came out to say get new ecu, code 2 said new map sensor, and 11 short in black/brown wire. So with codes 1 and 2 both dealing with the map sensor is it possible that its just map sensor. I have one in the mail to test. I just dont wont to have to buy a ecu if it might not even fix the issue. So bike starts up fine runs for 3-5 mins then will bog down and die unless i give it throttle, in which case will rev just fine up to 6500 is as high as i tried so far. I bought the bike used with 50k, it ran fine for a month or two, then parked it due to surgery and now this. The previous owner did lay it down on right side, the fairing shows that. I did a oil change and coolant flush as soon as i got it. Before this it ran strong and hard. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the map plugged in? It's easy to forget the vacuum line or it could fall off. Follow all the vacuum lines and make sure they are all good and tight. A leak could cause it to stall and affect the map.

All vacuum lines are tight and map is plugged in and bolted down.

I took off tank and air box to get in and get a good look at all vacuum lines and check that they were snug and going were they were supposed to, all was well, i took the map sensor off at the vacuum tee to look at connections and wires again all looks well. I did some rerouting and organized cables and wires to look and set better, basically put it the way its supposed to be lol. So now i put everything back together and decide to reset mil codes and just see what happens. And i fixed the fuel line routing issue that seems to happen if you have the done the recall. Any ways it cranked right up, sounded good and steady, didnt have the slow rpm decline that it had after a few mins before. But it was running at like 2200 rpm during the warm up. Its been sitting in my garage for last few months and hasnt been crazy cold either so not a lot to warm up, it got to 178°f and stayed. But also around that time it shot up to 5500-6000 rpm be itself. So i figured id over tighten the throttle cable or idle adjuster. Throttle cable is all the way out at the throttle, didnt get to check it at the motor side yet or the idle adjuster had to take care of baby lol. Any ideas. And havent got to ride to seem mil codes come back or are they instant because red light went out after start up and didnt come back. Bike ran for abiut 10 mins. Side note the previous owner gutted the air box of the flapper. Still has the outter cable screwed in but no inner cable. And i did forget to put air filter back when i put air box back, could that cause it? Thank you very much for all advice.

Check your coolant level. If that's full, check that the wax unit and hoses going to it are free of blockage.

Has the linkage at the throttle bodies of wax unit adjustment been messed with at all?.

Will check the coolant and hoses today, as for the wax unit i need disconnect the linkage when i took the throttle body and front end off. So that was my first guess as well. If you dont mind me asking why check the coolant level, was the 178 to high, my fan normal came on at 180

The fan switch is low in the radiator. The wax unit is a high point. If the coolant gets low, the wax unit will be starved of warm fluid and not pull the idle down to where it needs to be. With the radiator cap not being accessed easily, it gets overlooked and not checked regularly.

I've seen high idle issues be solved by bringing the coolant to proper level. Easy and cheap to check and rule out, so do that first.

Today the Blade made its return to the road. I reset the faults and disconnected battery new main fuel and return lines, got a not gutted air box and new filter, discontinued and reconnected all vacuum lines, adjusted idle to about 1200 and she seems good. Took her for a test ride and made it home with no issues, well one turn signals didnt want to work. I wiggled the wire harnessit the front mainly the big plug near the right frok and they came on. But didnt keep working. I will open her up tomorrow and see what i can find.

Default Runs only when throttle is applied

So what actually fixed this issue? I have an 01 rr-y that will only run if I'm on the throttle, and will die after 20 seconds of running with out it. It's been sitting for 10 years, now I'm restoring it. I was leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator, since I need to replace a bunch of parts anyway if figured won't hurt but would like to know what the issue is.. Thanks!
