I just aquired an 01 929 RR erion edition. The bike was in a accident but I'm trying to decide whether to fix it up or not. The rear rim is junk so I need to know what other years will fit it. The bike will not be restored so a little different is no big deal. The right clip on is also destroyed. THe motor seems to runok with no mechanical noise.The big problem is that the rear suspension pivot for the lower link of the shock mount pulled out of the engine case. We have a TIG welder and are experienced with bike repair so It's not a deal breaker. I'm not looking forward to it but I think it can be done. Has any one else seen a similar failure? It looks like the bike bottomed out so hard it pulled the bracket back about an 1/8" but it didn't go out of place place sideways or lose any pieces. Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated.
