Woolly Gear Change
#11
Hi Guys, back again to update on my progress.
I have disassembled the gear linkage cleaned it all up and re-greased, I've tried every adjustment and while there is some improvement, the top three gears still do not engage with the nice positive action of the lower three.
There is a couple of mm of play in the mechanism, I think in the rose joints. Could this get progressively worse as I go up through the gear box, making 4th, 5th and 6th less positive when they engage?
All the gears work fine, no crunching or anything else unusual.

Hi guys,
Any opinions on the play in the rose joints, could this be causing my gear-shift problems?
I've had a look on line to see if I can find new ones, buy came up zilch. Used ones are available, but who knows if they'll be any better.
Also is there maybe a way to tighten those joints up, so they're not so sloppy?
Cheers guys.
