RE: who has the most miles
I have almost 46000 on my 99. I have riden it hard and fast. No major motor work has had to be done yet. Still even have the ORIGINAL clutch in it!!!!!
The moral of the story is, that if you keep up on the maintenance and do regular changings of things that you should replace time to time, you can get a lot of miles on a bike. I have heard of a guy who used to do cross contry and cross continent trips on his 94 900RR and he had over 150000 miles on his and it was still going strong!!!

RE: who has the most miles
36k, but i recently overhauled alot of stuff on it.
New D and D full exaust , new windsheild, mirrors, lights, battery, stator, rectifier. Fork Seals, Split the case and did all the worn trans gears shift forks and shift drum all new.all new brakes, some new fairings , upgraded head lights [hid] new wires on wire harness about 60% of them. Full carb cleaning with new stage 2 jets, new Rk Race chain and gears, new grips, bar ends and brake/clutch levers.New K&N air filter and i did alot of carbon fiber cosmetic stuff to it.All maintance complete..
So i put a fair amount of work into it about 1500.00 in parts and a good amount of time in labor. Did it need all this? well most of it and the mechanical parts i put in were a NEED. It did not shift smooth into any gear jumped out of second Clunked going into 1st. Stutterd at idle and when riding and not giving throttle, the chain was chattering louder then the motor the bar ends were missing and the grips were just gay... the chargin system did not work at all due to a stator over load which blew out all the light and fried most of the wires so that all had to be replaced, plus he dropped it once so i got new fairings. but i got the best deal on them 9.00 bucks on each fairing i needed from ebay and them being OEM from honda FTW...
