Default What's it worth?

Looking at a clear title theft recovery 97 CBR 900. Runs, needs fairings on both sides, and the piece behind the seat as well. Otherwise in ok condition. Has some funky looking shaped front brake disc I hear are pricey. What do y'all think its worth?

How much do the fairing cost (parts) and what would it cost to get them painted yellow to match the bike?

Thanks,

Tim

Depending on the condition of the motor, I would pay around $3000 or less for a '97 with no bodywork. You could either buy used OEM fairings if you wanted to wait on ebay forever or buy aftermarket ones for about the same price ($500 +/- $100) but you'd still have to paint them. Spend what you want on painting, but there are some posts on here about how to DIY, so it's not a bad option if you really just want to ride. Honda motorcycles are great performers, but if people don't take care of them, or if they get stolen, you may end up having to buy more than just fairings to keep it safe and road-worthy. Go with your first instinct on how the bike feels in person and get it checked out by a knowledgeable third party.

Sounds like wave rotors, they are pricey. Probably has braided steel lines too. I was thinking closer to $2800 without the side fairings.
