They shouldn't be rivits. They should be screws and wellnuts.

from the factory they're nylon philips head screws, more often than not they've been replaced with aluminum allen head screws. Yours may be stripped which is why they look like rivits. If they're still the stock nylon ones, they will drill out extremely easily.

i don't know if it was modified but these are definetly not screws thereare about five or six of them lining the bottom of the windscreen. the heads are flat much like small buttons about 5 millimeters in diameter. on the other end are little washer like fasteners.

That's weird. They are in the right locations but those deffinately are not stock fasteners. I can't say I've ever seen those before. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Well it looks like a nice tidy job..

On another bike I had to change the screen and the previous owner went the pop rivet route and I had to drill them out before moving on.. Amazingly I didnt even have localised warping of the screen or fairing. It certainly took less time than the reinstalation with proper nuts and bolts.

So, if you really must whizz them out, poke a small drill bit through them. I got some nice adonised allen headed "mushroom" bolts that added a touch of bling..
