Tires
I am new to this forum and new to having a CBR. I have a 96 900rr that was used by a buddy of mine as a track bike. Because of this he has Q2's front and back on it. I use it for more of a daily driver and don't need something as soft for the road use. I would like to try a dual compound tire but I am having trouble finding a front tire that will fit my bike. Does anyone know where I can get a set of tires for it that will have the 16in front tire? I am not to picky on brands but I don't want something that will fall apart in a couple thousand miles.

Qualifier Vs Q2
Hello, it's odd because Dunlop do not make Q2 for the 16" front? The Dunlop older generation Q1= Qualifier do have the 16". Frankly the Q2 is actually very good for street too. It is 3 compound, hard in the middle, mid-soft towards the side & super soft on edge for very sticky. I currently have a Q2 for the rear & a Q1/Qualifier for the front. I am very satisfy. Is it possible that your friend has both the Qualifier (front & rear) because Dunlop don't make the 16" for the front. Are you looking to replace both F/R at same time? With our 16" front, we likely have to buy separately... Bridgestone and Metzlers are very good consideration. It is suggested that we keep same brands for front and rears.
