it's absolutely ear deafening. but sometimes i like to just roll around blasting the throttle. haha. sometimes i feel the need to be "that guy" just wondering if it was good or bad.

I am not busting on you, but that guy is the one the public remembers and targets when it comes to our rights.

Really? It has happened before, and can happen again...way back in 1998 Chicago banned motorcycles on Lake Shore Drive for a few weeks, until the AMA stepped in.

There will be a downfall performance-wise tho dunno how big. Loss of backpressure the engine was designed to have.

The social pariah-ism, even among other riders, has already been covere

i just think it's ridiculous that i can't be loud OUTSIDE. i've heard some harleys that make my ears bleed and they seem to take pride in it. when did being loud become a crime? and about the thing in Chicago, they realized that they were wrong and it was overturned immediately.

  1. They attract nothing but the wrong attention
  2. Most guys I've seen with them couldn't attract attention the right way (riding skills, nice bike etc) so they try to demand it with the pipes
  3. I Know they don't "save lives"

I personally won't ride anywhere near anyone with obscenely loud pipes. I don't need my ride interrupted by a cop who decides to do an a*** probe of the entire group cause of one guy who's loud. I don't need want any extra attention on my ride. And doing cause of the "saves lives" fallacy usually indicates a lax situational awareness since they think the soccer mom on the phone will hear them over to 2 screaming kids in the back seat.

But that's my personal opinion. YMMV
