Default Stock Gearing?

What is the stock gearing on my '93 Blade? I can't find this info anywhere!!
If i keep the front the same but go up 3 teeth on the rear, will that make a notable difference? I don't care for top end speed just having low down grunt. Has anybody done this with good results???

Stock is 16 on the front and 43 on the rear for all 900s and 16-42 on 929s. Everybody recomends 15-45 which makes it a 3 to 1 ratio. I';m running a 929 rear wheel for the purpose of a 190 rear tire so my rear has 42 and when I wheelie in first I want to slow it down. I think I'm going to go to a 15-45 on a 520 chain kit. I'm concerned about the 520 chain because it is a smaller chain and know it is lighter but wonder how long it will last. Johnny

Wow johnny you can do a wheelie with your 42??

Anyone out there had increased thier sprocket and what is the difference?? I'm thinking of going up too.

BTW johnny, my 97 is fitted with a 190 rear tyre. I there any specific reason u have to use a 929 wheel?

I have a front suspention fron a suzuki GSXR with a three spoke and needed the closest match plus I like the 190 look. You know funny you mentioned the wheelies, we had a cold day here in south texas today and my bike had all kind of power and I was clutching wheelies easy in second. The 900 has alot of torque, I clutch it at about 5000 rpm. Johnny

I forgot to mention the 900 has a 5.5 wheel and the 929 has a 6.0 rear wheel. Johnny

I'm very much keen to learn wheelies but I'm scared of upsetting the front suspension. Maybe once with a 45 rear will be easier though.

I've heard the 180 rear tyre will be easier to take corners. Is it true??
The 190 definately looks cool and mean too.

Certainly seems that way, I've never heard otherwise.

Good info spirit.. Maybe thats the reason I can see untouched mark on the edge of the tyre probably about 10mm. Thought of I'm not good enough then....lol
