Hi All

I have a CBR 919 C33A 1996 Fireblade, I also have a noise coming from the engine. When I pop the clutch while holding the break in 1st gear the noise seems to disappear. I called my mechanic and he asked if this happens at idle, while riding etc. Does anyone know maybe before I give this guy the bike and he charges me a small fortune to fix it? I bought the bike 3 weeks ago from the very place I called about the problem, He stated timing chain, or timing chain tentioner or shim. Just hope I didn't buy a lemon! Any and all advise is more than welcome.
