new 94 and I got the key stuck in the trunk lock!
Just picked up a great 94 and was cleaning it up when I tried to open the trunk, the key got stuck! Now I cant ride it, and I cant get the key out for the life of me. The trunk wont open either. Bunk! Anyone have this happen to them? I have jiggled the key to no end, but no luck.

RE: new 94 and I got the key stuck in the trunk lock!
The subframe (the mini-frame that holds up the rear fairing and trunk of the bike) is bent from a crash and I have to do this to open the trunk:
1. Insert key with my right hand.
2. With my left hand I'll press down firmly on the passenger seat and also gently press down with the key as I try to turn it.
eventually it opens.
Good luck!

ok,
1. took off left rear panel to access trunk.
2. Saw that arm of key lock was over, instead of under the release lever.
3. This is because small tail panel was missing one machine screw and was flopping a bit allowing key lock to come over release lever.
4. Put key lock arm back under release lever, lubed entire assembly, replaced missing machine screw on tail panel, put left side panel back on.
Good as new.
