my speedo gauge fate
My speedo gauge had been in my bad book lately. Few months ago the inner bulps went off. Then the needle broke. Two weeks ago the display panel parted. wtf??
What's next? The whole gauge is going to fly off?
What do you guys think? The gauge is firmly secured and so does the bracket too. I had dismissed the vibration factor. The needle seems to make a turn whenever I on/off the ignition as well.
The good news is the gauge is still working. [&:]

RE: my speedo gauge fate
HEY!! i had a dream about it and i think i might be right, what year is your bike? and is it an outdoor bike mostly? because i think that the UV could have something to do w/wearing down the plastic on both the faceplate and the needle. the other day i realized how much the speedo bounces when you go over bumps. so MAYBE that is why.

Lol Jon do you really need to dream about this crazy things? Its a 97 model and most of the parts had been changed to 98-99 model due to unforeseen circumstances.
Well I don't care about the needle as long as its working but I need to dismantle the gauge to stick the panel.
Any idea of what kind of electrical issue it can be because I believe something is not right that makes the needle to spin whenever I on/off the ignition.
