Just got back from a 300 mile journey today...
....in about 5 hours.
Went over to my "ridin buddies" and picked him up around noon today. Just on a wild hair we decided to ride up to N. Ga for a little fun. Went up to the campground/ park at Lake Russel and had a bit of fun in the twisties there. Left and went over towards Lavonia.
Just about picked up some other guys ticket as we were coming across from Tacoa.....as we were going down the state road headed over we get passed by a Sunfire blowing down the road. We were being pretty mild seeing as its a holiday weekend and all.....anyway, this guy passes us coming over a hill and just on the other side is a cop running radar. I am not sure if the officer didn't see the car, or didn't care after seeing us. He just about went sideways getting out behind us. He followed us from about 3 feet behind for several miles through some sweet curves. Hated to miss them, but eventually he got bored and turned off.
We resumed a good cruising speed, hit the highway headed home. Found a fellow in a Camaro that wanted to play a bit. Had a good time playing cat and mouse with him for a few miles. Made the highway trip much shorter too....
Just got back in. Forgot to sunblock everywhere. The missed spots are glowing red with sun and wind burn.....sore as hell, and looking forward to the next trip. Using my pickup truck for the highway legs next time.
