Default Just a few questions

so I justrode to a bike bash a hour and a half away and my *** was numb when I got there...Are there any seats with more padding than factory or would i have to recover the factory one and maybe add some padding?

What is a good chrome polish and does anyone know what to put on it so that it doesn't "pit"?

My hands started to go numb also, are my handle grips a little to big or is that common for the rest of you? Maybe gloves help?

i've heard that sargent make a real nice seat & i have heard that corbon is'nt that good(a lot of people selling them and going w/something else). as far as vibration for your hands getsome gloves w/some padding it makes a huge difference & stop squeezing the hell out of your grips (relax a little).

After a long ride my butt gets wore and my wrists and arms too.

That's just normal fatigue for me from being hunched over on this bike of mine.

Not much I can do about it I guess [&o]

you could always change your bars, maybe raise them a bit(would change your riding position).

never seem to have that prob. on mine.
i put 4 hours on mine one way about every other weekend to my wifes house
from here in va to delaware
seat seems fine and no prob. with hands grips
sou more or less sounds like you need to change your riding pos.
and relax off the grips some.
try something next time. your out on it
when you got your hands on grips riding
flap your arms like doing the chicken dance holding the grips still if you distirb the bike at all your holding to tight.

Not really sure what is your riding experience but I guess your body position is the culprit here. Please don't tell me you are riding without your gloves either. Rest your abs or belly to the tank and the weight in your wrist will be taken off. If you are always doing town riding with a lot of stops and go, low speeds then I'm not surprised.

Get gloves, more to save the fingers and the rest of your all important hands in a crash than anything else. I use a Corbin seat and I never feel uncomfortable. I also use textile riding pants and they have a butt pad so that is probably a big help. If your riding in jeans, then your gonna have problems, not only with numbness, but also with skin removal if you low side. All in all get an aftermarket seat, and consider maybe clip on if you feel your riding position isn't weighted forward, but your prabably holding onto the bars to toght and bending your wrist too far back. Think of making a fist when you punch something, you want your forarm and fist to be in a staight line with one another, same thing on a bike, should be straight most of the time.
