I'm new to motorcycles, here's the '98 I bought recently. It's got about 39,000 miles on it and runs perfectly. It's not perfect cosmetically, but it's good enough for my first bike.

Yeah, I think it would be a given that the next owner would change things up. First thing everyone wants to do is put a pipe on them. Keeping her for now and as long as I have her, she will remain original.

Fact is, these are older bikes & they will NEVER be cosmetically perfect...there will always be some imperfection...but we learn to accept...but I still love these bikes so much!

Opps..sorry bro. I forget about the 99, should be 93-99....how can I changed the thread subject? 98 & 99 is fine tuned...shaved tailed...99 is the last year of these bikes

If I recall, fork seals are due at 20-22K...keep an eye on your fork & front brake caliper...
