When you take stuff apart, its really important to take lots of pics so you can put it all back together. Right? Well i didn't take enough pics and am now trying to figure out how to put the rubber heat guard, and solid plastic guard back into my '93 RR. The rubber piece is the major problem - i just don't remember just how this piece fits.
Can anyone help me on this one? Thanks!

Reason: misspelling
Well this turned out to be not so difficult after all. I removed the radiator and moved the coils out of the way, then pushed the rubber piece up toward the carburetors. The 3 "slots" shown in the pic then hook to the hard plastic piece which is pushed into place and held by 2 machine screws. These slots are beneath the coils, so not visible in the picture. It also has 2 L-shaped pieces that are to snap into slots on the bottom of the cross brace, but i was unable to snap those in. I don't think it matters. But perhaps this is old news to everyone.
This is how the rubber piece fits in after reconnecting the coils The plastic piece is held with 2 bolts
