headlight voltage????
Does anyone know what is the headlight voltage for a cbr900rr?? What is the maxium voltage can it take before blowing the lights?
I am getting about 14+ volts at about 4-5k rpm. Is this right or too much power going to the lights and blowing the bulb?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

RE: headlight voltage????
I second that on the voltage. Yep that voltage is exactly right. The only other reason that your headlight will blow is if there is a loose connection either by wires or at fuses, make sure all of the fuses are snug. Take them out one at a time and check if the metal parts holding the pins of the fuse are snug, the plastic groove will hold it nicely in place but if the metal clips are a little loose, then it will trip when going over bumps causing your lights to flicker rapidly and then blow. You have to fix the short or else it will take out your rectifier after some time and then its big trouble and big bucks. Check every fuse and every light (Headlight, indicators, park light, tail light).
