I got my first bike ever, 94 900rr, this past spring and I cannot say enough good things about it. It had 16k on it when I got it. I put 1200 miles on it in 2 weeks, 600 the first 2 days I got it. I laid it down trying to ride in the rain, I do not suggest that. It's now bieng repainted to a color I like, black, and I can't wait to ride it again. I've cleaned the carbs, adjusted all fo the suspension, rebuilt the front forks becuase of a leaky seal (previous owner rliked to do *******, go figure). I highly recommend a Hanes Manual on the bike if you intend to gdo the work yourself. They're easy to work on, fun as hell, and reliable so long as you keep oil and gas in them. What more can I tell you? RIDE!

Thanks meeks for the encougraging words. I'm really looking forward for it. In my place here almost all the bikers have respect and fear with the cbr 900. I hadn't tested the bike that much but all my friends had said that i would not regret it. Futher more my ex kawa was superb!!

600 on the first 2 days?? hope you didn't break your back!!

Err where do i supposed to get the Hanes Manual?

I bought mine from Walmart.com. They had the best price and free shipping. I think I paid 32.00 ish said and done for it, and it is a nice hardback. It's worth every penny.

Also, the 96 has some improvements over the 94 in regards to the front end and riding position, and some minor changes in the motor and trans. The 94 has a quciker 1/4 rating while the 96 boasts a higher top end.
My bro has the 94, I havce the 96 and would ride/buy/recommend either.

i bought mine damn 5 years ago next month with 3700 on it, I think its sitting around 27,000+ now. Great bike, never had a problem with mine. Torque is a good word for the bike. Keep gas in it, and oil. Should last you a long time.

pick

Bike still in the shop... [:@]waitin for some mechanical parts it seems. Can't wait to trash her.

Hows the top speed looks like? I got to know the 900rr lack of horses compare to its rival during her time..

Thanks
