Gone Pegless & led blinkers....photo update
Ok members, I’m finally done shaving bike’s pegs, I had the solo cowl on for few years but never able to shave the pegs due to the exhaust hanger is part of the right peg. Here are some new photos I have taken yesterday.
Thanks to Zaqwert6 for cutting me this nice piece of aluminum exhaust HANGER, which i had the luxury to mount using either holes from the pegs. As you can see, i have mount exhaust using the front hole to create more of an angle. With this piece, therefore I am able to go pegless…during the strip down, I’ve also replace the battery tray with a 99’, amazingly it is a direct replacement. I have also replace the front led blinkers, install a led relay, remove rear blinker, and only using the intergrated led tail light.
These triangle shape led blinker I order from ebay (Hong Kong) cost $10/pair is direct fit without any modification. These are EURO/Style seen most on SUZUKI's but they seem to work well with the 900RR older model. It fits like meant to be...
One question is, should I get running light for the rear?

Yes, the tail light in built in integrated turn signal...I'll keep it as is...I am so happy with these led blinkers...it's stem actually slide perfectly thru one (of 2) hole...then tighten with a hex nut.
When I first remove the old blinkers, I'm like ****,
1. Big **** hole, like 2.75" wide X 1.5 high.
2. The cavity inside is about 3/4" deep before hitting the inner fairing which have to OEM 1/2" dia holes....all those new led blinker now a days have those huge nylon grip nuts which you tighten by hand, there is no way to wedge it behind the outer fairing....
