What year gauge cluster brackets are the same?
Will 96-97 work with 98-99 cluster??

 

I cant find anything for you man. Ive looked and cant even find pics of it. You do know of course, that with enough time and money anything is possible. Throw in some 929 gauges. That would be cool. I doubt that a 97 will swap right out with a 98-99 though. Just a guess.

 

Sorry looking back at my post, I am not clear in what I am tring to ask. So here it goes:

Is the 98-99 900rr gauge cluster bracket (that hold the cluster and mounts to the upper via 1 screw in front) the same as the 96-97 bracket? Or do I have to look for 98-99 years bracket only?

 

OH, after reading your first post again now, it makes sense. I will see what I can find.

 

And to answer your question. No it doesnt appear as though they will work. The 93-97 are the same gauges, using the old style everything. I cant see the bracket itself in any pics, but it doesnt look like it would bolt on.

 

That's a negative -
93-94 are the same - round headlight and no supports for the headlight on the bracket, has the wire speedo gauge(3 bolts) off front wheel
95-97 are the same - electric speedo gauge from the sprocket cover, has headlight support holes the bolt patterns(3 bolts) for the gauges changed
98-99 are the same - the mount bar of the front fairing is LONGER then the 95-97 and the gauge bolt pattern slightly changed due to different gauges

all three will bolt onto the frame, but they each accept different upper fairing and gauges. [:-]
