This is correct.

The other hose that you mentioned, the one that goes from the petcock to just below the carbs, is the vacuum hose that I spoke of in a previous posting. There should be one more large hose that goes from the petcock, to between the carbs. This is the fuel supply hose (from the tank to the carbs). I'm pretty sure that the 99 did not come with a fuel pump (from the factory). In 2000, they had to go back to the fuel pump, for the fuel injection on the 929.

thought you were refering to the two hoses out of the tank, my bad. yah! they'revacuum and fuel.i think they stopped using fuel pumpshalf way through the '96 model year.

Yeah I was talking about the ones coming out of the tank, but I think it has the fuel pump thing. I'll post some pics when I take the tank off this week

my 93 900 has a electric fuel pump, my friend had the bike before me and disconnected it saying it gave him more trouble than anything. mine runs fine without a pump but for somereason at high speeds when i let off the gas it stalls out like it either isnt getting enough gas.
