Default Cbr 900rr petcock

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and I just purchased a 94 cbr 900rr and the fuel petcock is leaking fuel. I did a search and all I can find is that they are expensive and that the other alternative it to fix it with a repair kit. The only problem is that they tried to fix it with jb weld and now I would be able to fix it. My question is will other petcocks from other 900rr fit ex. 99 cbr 900rr

I would bet that the newer model petcock would screw right on. Only problem is the newer ones are vacuum operated and you'd need to run a vac line.

I fixed a petcock on my 89' 600 by drilling the rivets out, replacing the ring. I had to drill and tap screw holes where the rivets once were but it worked as a permanent fix and fairly easy.
I wasn't trying to be a cheap a$$, it was just a matter of pride as a smart a$$ at the dealership said they could not be repaired, so I had to put the little nerd in his place.

I'm pretty sure it does. Look at your petcock. If it has a small hose running to it along with larger fuel line then it runs off vacuum.

If you can't find anything else that will work, Pingel makes petcocks for them. They are pricey but worth it in my opinion. I gave 80 bucks for mine few years ago. I'm not sure if they have a single outlet so you may want to check. I bought the dual outlet because I was running nitrous at the time. Might work as a last resort.

yeah I took it apart and I tapped some screws but I cant find an O-ring that fits.
I got a set of assorted o-rings but there either to small or too big

I would advise to go to a tool repair shop like a whitecap construction supply, apex, or some sort of place that fixes nail guns and what not they have odd sized o-rings if you pm me the diameter of it i can get you a part number... i use to work for a tool shop and still have access to the books :-)
