The choke should remain up until you push it down.

Thanks, but after a few minutes, and knowing that the engine is indeed warm, I can't lower the choke all the way because it will stall. Again, it is warm, I left the choke on for maybe 10 minutes to let it run. It will not stay on and there is a delay in the throttle when I gas it up. Once I let it go, it will cut out.

Just a heads up, my bike did the same, mostly after sitting for a long time unridden, but turned out to be a much more serious issue. Due to long periods of inactivity, the carbs ended up needing to be removed and cleaned/soaked due to buildup. As you can tell, I'm no mechanic, but just recall the issue and how I had to get the bike towed from my house when one day, it simply wouldn't stay running any longer. The carbs had to be removed and soaked to remove all the buildup. Now, I use a fuel stabilizer, but also make sure to start the bike up at least once every 2 weeks, even if just to run around the block once. Better safe than sorry, again...

Sounds like the bike is starved of fuel, try bypassing the fuel filter first
could also be clogged idle jets.. try the filter first before pulling the carbs off.
OR running the bike with the airbox off and spraying carb cleaner down the carbs.
If you have to strip them away from the engine and for **** sakes plug up the open
inlet manifolds when the carbs come off with some clean rags, drop a jet in there and the nightmare will just begin!!!
Strpping the carbs is not a biggie... just be patient, methodical and lay all the bits out on a workbench using clean sheets of paper to mark them if you need to.
GOOD LUCK
