Default arrghh Don't you hate it when your CBR is down?

I haven't been able to ride my 900rr for weeks because the bike isn't charging the battery.

On top of that, it also needs to have the chain adjusted and it needs a new left headlight.

Anyone else hate it when their baby is sick with the flu?

Yes I put the voltmeter to the battery with the engine off and it was "dead"

When I turned the engine on, and used the voltmeter it showed the battery was getting almost no charge at all from the regulator/stator.

Nobody wants their bike to be down. Recently the rear tire of mine had the cords visible and I couldn't get a tire. I still run her for short distance but very very slowly. That sucks!

My radiator went bust and I had to wait about a week and a half for the guys to build me a new one. I hate it when my baby is down.

Thanks Dinez and Duke and Playfulgod

I appreciate you guys listening to my frustration, I think we've all been there!

I'll be taking the battery out of the bike soon and putting it on a charger so it doesn't get ruined.

Then I'll re-install it and ride it to the bike shop for a fix-up. Hopefully it won't cost too much

Hey MT Wallet

Have you sorted out your charging yet?

If your problem is that it wont charge, check the output of your stator coil. The reg/rect only stops the stator from cooking your battery by stopping the voltage at 14v. If your bike is charging at about 12 or lower at about 5000rpm (even with the rectifier installed), then your stator coil is buggered and you will need to replace that or else your bike will not charge well and will die after a few weeks. Well a messed up reg/rect will cause your battery to cook and will degrade its life rapidly and will not charge at all so you kinda skrewed on that side of the coin as well.

Anyways, hope you get it sorted soon.

Thank you for asking. No, I haven't even taken the battery out of the bike yet.

Too busy at work [:'(]

But I will do it either tomorrow or the next, my days off.

I appreciate the input and from you, as well exZ5!
