95 CBR 900rr
Okay. I recently came across the chance to buy a 95 cbr 900rr. The frame is cracked, the swing arm is straight but dented, forks are straight, gas tank dented. It ran fine before the wreck, hasn't been sarted in over 2 years. The seller is including a NEW HONDA frame, unstamped, and polished. A new swing arm. The bike does not have any plastic, any of the tail section, no front assembly what so ever, but all the mechanicals are there. He want's 600 for it. I plan on streetfightering it. Is thios bike worth that money?

RE: 95 CBR 900rr
Finaly got to see the bike today. The frame is completly snapped in 2 places, the swingf arm bolt is bent almost in a 45 degree angle. I think it might need a new left front fork. The outer fork tube is dented right where the seal is housed. I am going to try and straighten it. The forks themselfs are stright. The new frame is sick looking. brakes work front and back, needs both clipons, clutch perch, throtle and clutch cables, the tank has a hole in it, 1 by 5 inches long. The rear sumframe odly enogh is straight, had undertray, and a box thingy that i would say is an ecu. But there are 2 plugs laying in the undertray that dont have anything to clip into? I put a 100 down on it, and am picking it up in a month, where can i find street fighter stuff, i found a gauge setup that is pretty slick, and am planning on using a accrebies cyclos headlight. still looking for a tail setup.

RE: 95 CBR 900rr
Sorry, both 600's will with zero doubt in my mind.......whip your ***. Their bikes make as much if not slightly MORE power and the bike it self weighs less......and they have you by a LONG way in the weight department. Sorry Charlie.......try again. If you had a GOOD running 98-99 you still (making equal power) will get beat because they have such a weight advantage.
If you were in the 200lbs range, then it would be a different story for a tuned 98-99.
Good luck.
