Default 95 900rr engine swap

hey all i recently bought a 95 900rr that the previous owner blew the motor in. i got a good deal on another motor out of a 97. put it in and everthing seemed fine but after riding it for a short time it started to foul out the plugs. seems like it is getting to much gas. so here is my question does anyone know if the jetting was different on the 900s from 95 to 97. i have taken the carbs completly apart and made sure nothing was gunked up and everything was working good on them but cant seem to keep from foulin the plugs. any help or suggestions that anyone could give me would be great.
thanks

im fairly new to all this but from what i have figured out about jetting is that it all depends on what mods you have done to your bike such as intake and exhaust and so on if the motor you got came off a bike that needed more fuel than yours due to modifications than that would cause you to be running rich if you think thats the problem

is it fouling all 4 plugs or one or two also if it was jetting would of had problems immediantly not after a few min check your choke cable adjustment and your float levels was the fuel old contaminated this will also foul plugs

poss that the carbs used off of the blown motor had problems leading to the blown motor., if you are competent enough to swap the engine, you will not have a problem doing a rebuild on the carbs...if your in it this far, spend the $120 for the kits, retune and ride...
