Default 94-95 CBR 900 RR compared to 96-97 ones, which do tou prefer and why ?

I saw there are a few differences between 1994-1995 and 1996-1997 CBR900 RR ( but they both have that front fairing look / design i love ) , including the fact the tank was redesigned/ reshaped and the handlebar has been raised one cm on the 1996-1997 ones .

Are the 1996-1997 ones really better to ride , more comfortable with that reshaped tank and raised handlebar , than the 1994-1995 , or is the difference so small that it is negligible ?

There are several nice colors in the 1994-1995 ones that i like , some that i really love , whereas in the 1996-1997 , there is mostly the black one i love ( with pink or purple RR on the side fairings ) but these 1996-97 black ones seems to be quite rare in France !

It seems i made a mistake in the title but i can't edit it !
I wrote tou instead of you ( if an admin can correct it, it would be nice ; thanks, in advance !).

This question doesn't seem to inspire many people ! Lol
But maybe some of you have ridden both 94-95 and 96-97 CBR 900 RR and would be able to tell me if the 96-97 are more comfortable / pleasant to ride ?

I don’t think inspiration is an issue at all. It’s a fair question. I think it is a very specific question that not many people have the experience of both generations and model to intelligently answer. Plus feel of ride is a very personal thing. What may be perfect for me may be horrible for the next person.

Generally speaking though, the older the generation the more upright the riding stance. This usually translates into a more comfortable ride, but not necessarily a more performance enhanced experience. My personal thought is you can’t go wrong either way. Sit on both if possible and see how each feels to you.

You might have hard time believing me but near Paris , might be where you find the least motorbikes for sale !
i live in the suburb close to Paris and each time i search for some motorcycles to buy second hand , most are far away , in the south , in the west , in the East or in the North but i rarely see any for sale in or around Paris when i look for one ! What means i won't have the opportunity to try any of these before i buy ond ; only the day i buy it i might try it before but that's all !

The only time where i have been more lucky has been recently as i finally decided it would be better to keep one of these ol timers sportsbike for the road if i buy one and use a more recent one for riding on traccks , i setup my mind on a 20008 GSX-R 750 K8 for riding on circuit and in my city , there is a guy who sells one !
As i told him i could be interested buying it , he let me try it while he was following me with my ZRX1200R !
Cause i was thinking about a 90's one instead ar first , to ride on circuits but if i remove all the original fairings to avoid damaging them if crashing, what would be the use of buying a nice one if i replace all the nice fairings ? Lol
And alo , reading about the tech evolution between these 90's bikes and some more modern ones , includug topics and posts on this forum , made me think about buying a more recent one for practicing motorbike on circuits .

Just a though for you to consider, I think the K5's (2005) were the last of the GSX's that did not have the catalytic converters fitted and as such might be a better track bike.

They all remove the catalytic part and even replace the exhaust , be it the full exhaust or just the muffler .
Some say that the 0,6-07 have a better engine as it can get a bit more HP to build an " SS engine " ( but i don't know what Means SS ) whereas the 2008 has more power in the midrange and low end and better frame .

The SS probably refers to SuperSport racing.
If you are going that route then I hope you have deep pockets as it is not a cheap hobby, as opposed to an occasional track day bike Like Doc with his F4i.
Whatever you decide I hope yo have fun and take it easy when you start.

Yeah, SS racing is a specific category and their is a whole race series dedicated to it and they are probably not road legal. Track day generally ride to circuit do the track day, hopefully get to ride home
