How many volts should there be coming from it on the 3 yellow wires? Mine has around 9 each.

 

i think its broken. it should be putting out anywhere from 50-80 volts i believe

i have to replace my stator. it keeps blowing my rectifier regulator

 

How sure are you?

 

pretty sure. the r/r regulates it down to 14.5-15 or so to charge the battery when at rpm

someone correct me if i'm wrong though

 

I can't find it online anywhere and I wanna be sure before I split the cases.

this is a really good flow chart to diagnose your charging system.

it says u should have at least 50v coming out of each wire. they should be equal too.

i just went through a problem with the charging system on my 95 sooo good luck

 

Alright I've got a new battery cause mine was from 04, my rectifier tested the same as the new one I got today but I swapped it anyway, and I pulled the stator out my other motor and swapped them.... Now praying to god and all that is holy that my gasket maker works out well. Every 5min looking for oil.

I'm waiting till tomorrow to start it.

 

good luck. can i ask what year and bike did you take the stator out of?

 

98 motor to a 97 motor. Pretty sure they all swap out though.

 

****ed up again. Given I jumped it of a car battey and rode across town but 20min later dead as ****. Bump starts fine though. Now waiting on battery to charge completely and try again. All thats on it though is 1 tail light/brake light, a dirtbike headlight and my fan. I got no blinkers and no gauges.

I put in a new battery, new recifier and swapped stators. SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
