Default 900rr Forks

Ok from all the searching I've done I just want to make sure I am right on what I'm thinking. I have a 97 Fireblade with a bent fork. From waht I can tell I can use 93-99 forks with my triple trees, wheel, calipers, and rotors. Thae only differance is the front fender on the 93-95 and 98-99. Am I right or wrong?

You can use any year forks on any model. Just remember what year the forks are from so next time you need to rebuild them. The internals are a little different.

Well.... I have '97 forks in my '93 trees with a '93 wheel/spacer/speedo sender/rotors/calipers.

Here's the deal with 900rr forks... the only changes made from 1992 to 1999 were some seals on the inside. Someone step up and tell me I'm wrong... but I think after saying this a dozen times no one has disagreed.

sounds good, one more question... is it worth just replacing one side of the fork or should i just spend the cash and get both??

Good question.
Me personally; I'd just spend what I need to and rebuild them together if there is anything that feels out of the ordinary.

There is a differance in that the lowers are adjustable on the 96, but not the 94. Not sure of other years, but that is the only differances I know of; top and bottom adjustable vs. top only.

YOU CAN'T USE ANY FORKS OFF OF ANY 900RRs FROM (93-97) ON A 98/99 MODEL! THIS IS WHY: THE 98/99 WAS THE LAST REDESIGN OF THE FORKS AND TRIPLE TREE! AND THE FRONT ROTORS ON THE 98/99 ARE 310mms AS TO THE 93-97 ARE ALL 290mms! ALL CBRs OF THE MODEL YEARS OF (93-97) NEEDED A 5mm OFFSET TRIPLE TREE CLAMP TO COMPINSATE FOR HIGH SPEED LIFT! WHICH WAS PRONE TO THIS BIKE!!! ONTARIO RACING, ERION RACING AND TWO BROTHERS WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT MADE THIS TRIPLE TREE CLAMP! THEY ARE NOT MADE ANY MORE! YOU CAN PUT THE ENTIRE98/99 FRONT ASSY: ON ALL OTHER CBRs! LATTER YEARS! JUST REMEMBER IF YOU DO, THE FRONT ROTORS ARE NOW 310mms! IF ANY OF YOU GET A CHANCE TO COMPARE THE 98/99 CBRs TO ALL OTHERs, YOU WILL CEE THE BIG DIFFERENCE!!! THE LOWER FORK TUBES ARE HUGE ON THE 98/99 900RRs! AND FOR THE REST OF YOU PERFORMANCE NUTS, YOU CAN PUT A 929 AND A 954 ON THE FRONT OF A CBR 900RR! ( ON ALL OF THEM ) !!! I DID WHEN I WAS RACING!
