RE: 900 vacuum hoses
Did you figure the hose thing out?
I need to know the same thing. Help me if you can. If you got a pic that be great steve |
RE: 900 vacuum hoses
Hey IronFox, thanks for the diagram. It helped me out some. I have a question though that pertains to the vacuum line, that goes into the bottom of the tank (next to the hose for the over flow). Does that tee into the vacuum line that goes to the petcock?
I'm putting together a 97 900RR that soemone else took apart. I have the manual on cd-rom, but the pictures are not very clear. Thanks. |
RE: 900 vacuum hoses
There is only one vacume line and it goes to the petcock. Then there is the fuel line to the carbs.....much larger than vacume line, then there are two vent lines, one smaller like a vacume line and the other larger, like the fuel line. It should be pretty obvious which is which. The vacume line on the petcock is the small one.....well on the petcock, the one right next to it is the fuel line. Hold on, I'll go take a pic.

RE: 900 vacuum hoses
Thank you gixxereater!
The smaller line that connects to the bottom of the tank, does that dump out the bottom of the bike, like the large line? If not, where does it connect on the other end? |
RE: 900 vacuum hoses
It dumps out the bottom. Mine routes through the frame on the left side by the "on/off" valve of the petcock and down out the bottom.
You can see in the pic as it runs into the frame, then back out again right below that. |
RE: 900 vacuum hoses
Thanks again, gixxereater, that's awesome.
I didn't even notice the line, through the frame, in the picture. |
